Liaison Leadership

Another important part of my leadership experience is my work in liaison roles. As the school’s Leader in Me Liaison, PALS Lead Teacher, and a collaborator with Project Pivot, I connect internal teams and external partners to ensure that programs work well together and have a positive impact. Through these roles, I have improved my skills in updating and maintaining parts of the Comprehensive Educational Plan (CEP), managing budgets to meet program goals, and building relationships with outside stakeholders. These experiences have broadened my strategic thinking, enhanced my organizational leadership skills, and highlighted the importance of teamwork in achieving lasting school improvement.
Leader in Me
Liaisons
As the Leader in Me Liaison, I lead and coordinate school events, integrate curriculum, and support initiatives that align with our Comprehensive Educational Plan (CEP) and school goals. I offer ongoing training for staff, students, and families to help them incorporate the 8 Habits into daily practice and school culture. I organize and empower staff to create and manage action teams, and I directly facilitate multiple teams, including the Parent and Staff Lighthouse Teams. In this role, I also organize and host ongoing training and site visits in partnership with Franklin Covey. I work closely with their representatives and contribute to professional learning initiatives, including being featured in their training materials.

PALS
Lead Teacher
As the PALS Lead Teacher, I developed and revised the program proposal and managed budgeting to ensure alignment with school priorities and student needs. I organize student and staff groupings to maximize program effectiveness and collaborated in the development of the PALS curriculum. In partnership with administration, I also support day-to-day operations, including responding to emerging issues and assisting with the de-escalation of students in crisis, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all participants.

Project PIVOT
I work closely with the program vendors and central office to ensure effective implementation and alignment with school and district goals. My responsibilities include managing budgeting, coordinating staffing, and attending planning and progress-monitoring meetings. I collaborate with our Student Lighthouse team to gather student voice—including voting on program elements—to ensure the initiative reflects student needs and interests. Project Pivot strategically targets students with chronic attendance concerns and behavioral challenges, providing them with a consistent “bright spot” in their day that fosters connection, engagement, and improved school outcomes.
